Focus Group Consultation in Sunamganj

A district-level focus group consultation was held at the Circuit House, Sunamganj District on 28th June 2007.

Dhaka, Bangladesh, 02 July, 2007 (IUCN) – A district-level focus group consultation of National Capacity Self- Assessment (NCSA) for Global Environmental Management project was held at the Circuit House, Sunamganj District on 28th June 2007. Mr. Md. Saber Hossain, District Commissioner chaired the discussion session. Representatives from the district and upazila levels, army and police officers, NGOs, civil society and the members of print and electronic media participated at the meeting. The CDAP (Capacity Development Action Plan) developed under NCSA project was shared at the meeting to generate a discussion amongst the participants, while capturing the views and suggestions based on the local perception and experiences. Dr. Ainun Nishat, IUCN Country Representative facilitated the open discussion session.
