Multi-Stakeholder Consultation on International Biodiversity Day 2007

Dhaka, Bangladesh, 24 May, 2007 (IUCN) –A multi-stakeholder consultation meeting was held on 22 May 2007 to observe the International Biodiversity Day 2007 at the BIAM Auditorium, Dhaka. The theme this year was ‘Biodiversity and Climate Change’ which is in line with the synergies that NCSA aims to establish. Participants from all walks of life attended the meeting and shared their experiences and emerging environmental issues such biodiversity conservation and wetland management. The presenters also emphasized on the loopholes and suggested possible capacity action plans for minimizing the gaps.
